Question 1: When and why did you write this book?
Answer: It was the Summer of 2003 when I decided to write it. I wrote the book because My sister and I felt it would be an awesome idea to get it published. It took time but I am glad it had happened!
Question 2: How did you come up with the book title?
Answer: My sister and I were like, What should the title of the book be? So we were like coming up with different ones and stuff. It was fun! But Intimate Betrayal just stuck out. And from there, BOOM.
Question 3: How long did it take you to publish this book?
Answer: It took me about a year. There was a lot of work involved. Trust me.
Question 4: Have any or all of the events in the story actually happened to you?
Answer: No, not really. I just came up with all of it from watching alot of drama films and soap operas.
Question 5: Who inspired you to write such a book?
Answer: Well, a few did. I mean, my mother, for one. She grew up and been through alot of things in life. My three sisters inspired me in a sense.
Question 6: Are you planning on writing anymore Intimate Betrayal novels?
Answer: Yes! of course I do! They are actually my upcoming projects. Hint: There are 11 of them!
Question 7: How old were you when you wrote this book?
Answer: I was about 18 years old then.
Question 8: Who else helped you plot the book?
Answer: My older sister, LaShonda. She's the one who came up with the crazy character, Shantae McLean! I love her! She's awesome!
Question 9: Who helped you publish the book?
Answer: Actually, I ran into this company called Authorhouse. I noticed they were the top most publishing company so I choose them. Plus they had great intentions to get their authors' voices out there in print. So if you're a writer and you're planning on publishing a book of your own, I suggest you go for Authorhouse! Enough said! And to this day I am thankful to God I have found them!
Question 10: Will there be a movie based on the book?
Answer: Hopefully there will be one. Who knows?
Question 11: When was the book released?
Answer: It was actually released on October of 2005. Boy, was I excited about the news! and I'm still am!
Question 12: Where can I go purchase the book?
Answer: You can purchase a copy of my book at your local BARNES and NOBLES stores, WALMART stores, and BOOKS A MILLION stores. You can even get it online. Authorhouse, Amazon, Walmart, Books a million are some good sites to go to.
Question 13: What are your favorite chapters of the book and why?
Answer: All of them! But seriously my favorite was Chapter 1 when Cheryl met Marques and the other characters in the book.
Question 14: Who are your favorite characters of the book and why?
Answer: All of them are. It took a great deal of time and effort to come up with them all.
Question 15: What kind of positive messages are you trying to send out to your readers?
Answer: The messages I am sending out there to the readers are of love and relationships. It don't have to be just about couple relationships. It's also about the relationships you have with your own family and friends. That's what the word INTIMATE mean. relationships period!
Question 16: Where did the story of the book first take place?
Answer: It took place in a made up area called Gaston, Mississippi. So clever!
Question 17: What age group are you targeting with your book?
Answer: People from the ages of like 17 and older. Mainly teenagers and middle-aged adults because I feel they are most likely the ones who can relate to this type of book.
Question 18: Did you have to get the book published under any other publishers?
Answer: No, not really. All because of Authorhouse!
Question 19: Can I be a character in the next book?
Answer: Unfornately no, I'm sorry but you can tune into what the epiodes of the next book are going to be. Hey, you can even imagine you are one of the characters of the book while you're reading. Great huh?
Question 20: Are any of the characters in the story really a person?
Answer: No. They were all made up. Even their names!
Question 21: Can we expect an autobiography book from you?
Answer: Yes, maybe in the near future.
